Classroom Behavior and Etiquette

Dear Students,

 

I look forward to a fun and challenging school year!  To the make the most of our time together, it is important that our classroom community be one of common respect and courtesy.  The following plan outlines expected classroom behavior and rules and the consequences for appropriate and inappropriate behaviors. 

 

Classroom Rules

Students will:

 

  1. Arrive to class each day on time. 

 

  1. Arrive to class each day prepared.  Be sure to arrive with books, notebooks, a pen/pencil, homework and other required materials for each class. 

 

  1. Treat yourself, your classmates and myself with respect.  The use of profanity or inappropriate comments toward others will not be tolerated.

 

  1. Give your full attention when I am talking or when another classmate is speaking.  If you would like to talk, raise you hand and you will be given the opportunity to address the class. 

 

  1. Work exclusively on the subject at hand. 

 

  1. Complete all work on their own (Copying work from others and/or plagiarism will not be tolerated).

 

Consequences:

 

First offense:             Verbal warning or logical consequences

Second offense:       Meeting with student/After school detention

Third offense:           Office Detention/Phone call home

Fourth offense:         Meeting with Mr. Godown

Severe Clause:        Send to Mr. Godown immediately
