This 6 week course is a good introduction to the SHR Music Department.  The unit we are presently covering is the voice in all aspects: physiology, speaking and singing range. We just had our first written quiz and grades should be coming home next week. 

The next project is a group vocal composition using only the voice. Students will compose with the same elements any real composer uses-pitch, duration, dynamics, texture and timbre.  They will tape the final products and critique each others work.

Rhythm, choreography and the blues are other topics we will explore in the following weeks.
