Test Tips
Mr. Vorgity - Grade 7/8 Science
Tests:
- Students will recieve a test at the completion of each chapter. Tests are usually 40-50 questions in length and include a writing prompt which is normally worth 10%.
- Test questions assess all vocabulary and scientific concepts presented in the chapter. The types of questions normally include multiple choice, matching, true/false, fill-in, and short answer questions. These questions assess students on both a knowledge level as well as their process and analysis skills.
- The writing prompt requires students to apply information or concepts presented during the chapter to a new or unique scenerio. Students are encouraged to write with a well organized response which addresses all of the questions or points within the writing prompt. Students are graded via a rubric.
